Adrian Tan

B. Eng. (Hon), PhD (Electrical Engineering)

Adrian received the B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the National University of Singapore (NUS), in 2002 and 2008, respectively. From 2008 to 2009, he was with the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), as a Research Engineer. From 2010 to 2012, he was with the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. He is currently a Research Scientist at Lincoln Agritech Ltd., Lincoln University, New Zealand.

His research interests include microwave circuits, antenna design and measurement, time-domain analysis, radar systems and ultra-wideband radio. Dr Tan was a recipient of the ASEAN scholarship (Singapore), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A-STAR) Graduate Scholarship (Singapore) and the Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral Fellowship (Canada).

He has particular interests in:

  • Electromagnetic theory and techniques
  • Antenna design and development
  • Modern radar and its applications
