Rob Kelly

Rob Kelly has an academic background in chemistry and protein materials. He started his scientific career studying chemistry at the University of Cambridge (UK), completed a PhD at Otago University and a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Lincoln University in the Animal and Food Science Department.

Over the years, he has managed R&D teams in New Zealand science institutes including the Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand and Canesis Network Ltd and has had substantial involvement in the establishment of new export businesses based on new materials developments with Keratec Ltd and Keraplast Technologies Ltd.

Rob joins Lincoln Agritech to manage the New Materials science programme. His interests include:

  • Protein structure and chemistry
  • New materials research
  • Product development and commercialisation
