Travis Glare appointed CEO of Lincoln Agritech

Professor Travis Glare has been appointed the new Chief Executive of Lincoln Agritech Ltd.

In announcing the appointment, Bruce Gemmell, Chancellor of Lincoln University and Chair of the Lincoln Agritech Board, said the board had received several excellent applications for the position.

“Travis’s appointment recognises his deep knowledge of Lincoln University’s research programmes, which has given him valuable insights into opportunities for closer collaboration with Lincoln Agritech,” he said. “His proven success in commercialising research and leading high-performing teams makes him an outstanding asset to the company.”

Bruce Gemmell also said the appointment would strength Lincoln Agritech’s relationship with Lincoln University and the wider research sector.

Professor Glare said he was very excited about taking up the position.

“Lincoln Agritech has a long history of excellent research and development,” he said.  “I’m really looking forward to building on that success as the organisation moves forward.”

Professor Glare joined Lincoln University in 2009 as Professor of Applied Entomology. For the past two years e has been Director of the Research Management Office and before that Co-Director of Bioprotection Aotearoa and Director of the Bio-Protection Research Centre.

For the past nine months Richard Gordon has been Acting Chief Executive of Lincoln Agritech, after the resignation of Peter Barrowclough at the end of 2023.
